The message comes by carrier pigeon actually, which is a pretty weird way to deliver a message but of course, it's thematic. A very pretty looking brown pigeon swoops down out of the sky to wherever Hannibal just so happens to be that afternoon and holds out its leg. The message is short and simple:
Got a job for you. Meet me in front of the sheriff station at dusk. No show, no job. Keep it a secret, rewarded very well.
- Hal
P.S. Burn this.
And that's it. Of course, if Hannibal chooses to listen to the message, he will find the Sheriff in front of the station at dusk. He'll be greeted with a tip of his hat and one word:
"Deputy."
And then he holds out a small notebook. Looks like Hannibal's been chosen for one of those roles that were mentioned. Good luck.
[ He nods, though at this point he does smile lightly. ]
Are they?
[ He's not questioning it, but he's just intrigued, since that works out better than he would have guessed. The people that Hannibal has noticed Xion being close to aren't necessarily people that he'd want to kill. Seizaburo, for example, was quite polite and well-mannered. But Riku he barely knows beyond digging a grave together. ]
Then if you can provide it, I'll need a way to keep Xion herself and whoever she might be with at the time asleep. I'd prefer not to go through the trouble of dragging him outside to kill him there. [ Though he does addly: ] Nui would need to be kept unconscious as well.
[ Hannibal's lips purse into a smile of pure amusement that reaches to his eyes easily at the comment about Nui, and he nods lightly. ]
Well. That makes half of the problem easier to solve. It's an unlucky room.
[ He's not surprised, though. He figured it would only be a matter of time before someone killed Nui. Considering the character of the people here, she was the easy, obvious choice for a killer to pick if they wanted to justify away their guilt. He imagines Ash might be next. ]
But, yes, something along those lines. I assume she will be watching all night otherwise.
[ Though on that note— ]
Why did you provide a camera, by the way? It seems inconvenient for your purpose.
[ He nods in understanding, since that doesn't surprise him too much. He'd imagined that was probably the case, considering the Sheriff himself wasn't exactly forthcoming with being helpful... Sorry, pal. ]
Since I'll have the opportunity, should I leave it or destroy it? I'm inclined to do the latter, but if it's more entertaining, I can let Xion keep it. She may give it to me eventually regardless.

So like, sleeping pills? Or something. I'll give you whatever you need but they'll probably know they've been drugged.
[ Aaaand -- ]
Oh, yeah. Someone else is already dealing with Nui that night so, ain't a problem.

[ But then he nods, yeah. Xion will be watching.
He also expected Hannibal to ask so he just lifts his shoulders in a shrug. ]
I didn't. One of the roles, they get a list of things to help or hurt. Pick one a week. They picked the camera last week.

Can't really get involved there. If you choose to keep it or destroy it, so be it. I'm not inclined either way and it ain't my decision to make.

I suppose it does not matter to me. I'm only choosing to kill because I'm interested to see what might happen.
[ he's Simple ]
I will keep it here for a week or two. If she were allowed to keep it, it might imply care. So long as I'm still alive, I'll return it eventually.
[ slash whenever thinks Hannibal would be the funniest time to return it ]

Alright. Well, leave it where you'd like. I'm not gonna move it from anywhere. Player moved it, players have to get it back. How it works.
-- Is there anything else you need? Disposal, for instance. Got a plan there?

A plastic suit and a bone saw would be quite helpful.

You go it. You'll find your items on Thursday. Rest is up to you.
