HELLO my name is Em and I am bringing Ocelot from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It is a game about manpain. Ocelot is a fanatic of spaghetti westerns so he's already coming into the game ready to be all cowboy about it.
He's coming with the one-eyed dog he trained. Some people may say "hey that's actually a wolf they just picked up in the wild", but I say shut up he's a perfect pure murderdog who can do no wrong. This doggo's name is D-Dog, DD for short!
Also Ocelot trained him to use knives.
I'M EXCITED TO BE HERE!!! I LOVE MAFIA MURDERGAMES THEY ARE THE BEST WAY TO RP. ALSO I LOVE DISASTER. My plurk is at slipperykitten and you're all welcome to reach me there/add me!
OCELOT... HELLO WE'RE ROOMIES!! I hope you don't mind dealing with a teenager... I don't know much about MGS (Though I always wanted to get into it?? I just never know if its something where I can pick up the latest game and go turbo or start from the beginning....) but listen, I'm excited. I'm Demu btw!
I'll send you a plurk req soon if that's a-ok... Please let me pet the doggo
HELLO ROOMIE! I don't know your character's canon but I peeked at his wiki page. From what I gather he's emotionless but gains emotion later? What point are you playing him at emotion-wise?
As for getting into MGS advice, it depends on your tolerance for old gameplay mechanics I think. Gameplay-wise, the more recent, the smoother the gameplay is. As a newcomer I would not even touch the PSX titles ("Metal Gear 1", "Metal Gear 2", the first two games), they're highly frustrating and don't have much story anyway.
I think you could start with either "Metal Gear Solid 1" or "Metal Gear Solid 3".
I'd go with MGS1 if you can tolerate gameplay that might be a little frustrating because I think starting there is the best way to experience the legacy going on in the series. There's a PS1 version and a GameCube version called Twin Snakes which has updated graphics and controls. If you can emulate GameCube, I'd do a ROM of Twin Snakes since it's rare and pricey now.
But if you want to start on a really strong game with better controls, go with MGS3. It's chronologically the earliest, a very emotional game with great story and characters. The gameplay isn't as fun as later games, but it manages to remain my favorite game for its emotional punch. The "Legacy Collection" is a good bundle to buy if you have PS3, games like MGS3 are HD in it. Or the "HD Collection" if XBox360 is your console.
Yep basically that! I'm basically taking him from the beginning of the game, about two days into his game's canon so he had some exposure to his little rehab treatment basically? But overall, still pretty emotionless!
Snaps fingers. I'm a PC gamer... I do have a PS4 and xbox 360 but it's technically my brother's and not mine so I don't play it often. WHEN IN DOUBT, I always tend to watch Let's Plays if I can't play them myself LMFAO
EITHER WAY, THANKS FOR TELLING ME ALL THAT! I'll definitely keep it all in mind when I definitely wanna poke around into the MGS world
Ahhh I see. A few of the most recent games are on Steam at least. Also if you happen to have a 3DS, MGS3 is on there too, it's a pretty good port (at least if you have a circle pad pro or new3ds).
