OKAY SO LIKE. noctis has been a bro literally since the day they met and he loves noctis so much??? HE LOVES NOCTIS SO MUCH!!! noct is one of the only people in this world who really understood certain parts of him especially in the wake of annabeth dying which was so so so important to him. it was so important to have someone like noct because like usually he's used to being the older brother/leader figure so to have someone a little closer in age acting and filling that role helped him so much? he feels like an asshole because he wasn't forthright with noctis and he wishes he could take it back but he just wanted to protect him bc percy sure has had a lot of people die on him for trying to help him so he spent a good chunk of the game taking things himself
he thinks noct is really funny and easy to talk to and he loves that they can just hang out? do nothing? eat food? be real bros? he gets the feeling that neither of them really have a lot of time to do that now esp given that noct is the crown prince and percy's fish jesus. he thinks they could both use a friend to rely on who gets it and THANK GOD NOCTIS UNDERSTANDS THE GODS ARE ASSHOLES? noct has always been one of the most understanding friends but on the flip noct is also one of the friends willing to call him on his shit and he doesn't get that very often. so he appreciates that, too.
there aren't enough words to really describe how grateful he is that noctis exists and he hasn't brought it up yet (tho he will) but he considers noct to be basically one of if not his best male friend in the game because of all of these factors. it was strangely overwhelming to hear it from noct himself because percy and friends are a very weird sort of territory but it's definitely earned noct a very loyal demigod for the rest of his life
